Be the first to know about the HMT couples workshop returning to South Florida and other special offerings by signing up for announcements below:
These Relationship Enhancement Couples Workshops are based on the Hold Me Tight® program, This is an educational format that is modeled after the highly successful form of couples therapy known as Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). EFT was developed by Dr. Sue Johnson and is considered the "gold standard" of couples therapy. No other form of couples treatment boasts the same caliber of effectiveness.
This program provides opportunity for you to understand your relationship and yourself differently so you can increase your loving engagement, problem solve those tough, repetitive issues and strengthen your communication skills. We have a "road-map" to help you grow together and keep your relationship healthy and loving.
These workshops are effective, safe, supportive, and validating. You will experience a combination of lecture, PowerPoint presentation, video clips, private written exercises and discussion to help you learn the concepts and apply them to your own life and relationships. Each participant is given a notebook of the exercises to do at several points during the workshop after the instructions are explained. After the exercises are completed, we reconvene to debrief.
The focus of this approach is to help people understand their deepest emotions and why they do what they do in romantic relationships. Feelings are often hidden, unexpressed or misunderstood. Our relationships can be a cause of stress and pain or a source of comfort and joy.Learn how to deal with your (and your partner's) feelings together, effectively communicate and be responsive in more loving and positive ways.
This experience will be positive, proactive and FUN! The tools you learn will continue to serve you long after the workshop.
In this workshop, you will learn...
to gain a deeper understanding of your patterns in romantic relationships
to make sense of emotions in romantic relationships
more about your partner's inner world
how to deepen your emotional and physical connection
communication to develop deeper understanding, closeness and safety
how to affirm strengths in your relationship and yourself
communication skills to reduce conflict and misunderstandings
